Welcome Trinity School, a small private day school was founded in 1987 to provide a British education for children of all nationalities. The school is a member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain and is recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education as a centre for Spanish nationals and for foreigners. The school was originally located in Puerto de la Cruz but due to expanding numbers, relocated in 1991, to Los Realejos, a town approximately 15 minutes away from Puerto de la Cruz and half an hours drive from the capital city, Santa Cruz.
An excellent public transport system services Los Realejos with buses running every half hour to and from Puerto de la Cruz and every hour to Santa Cruz. The bus stops just 3 minutes from the school.
Children who attend Trinity School have the advantage of studying in small groups. The maximum number of pupils in Primary classes is 20. The school has a one form entry intake to perserve a small family style school atmosphere. Our Infant Department, a happy, lively centre, initiates a love for school and for learning which is carried on throughout all year groups.
There is a close teacher-pupil relationship and the school's family atmosphere ensures that every child feels integrated easily and quickly. The school aims to provide a high quality education leading to IGCSE, AICE and A level qualifications. Tuition is offered in the following subjects, English, Maths, Geography, History, Science, Art, Design Technology, Physical Education, Information Technology, Music, Spanish and German. As the school is located on a Spanish speaking island we think that language is most important for our students. Each class has Spanish language lessons and in the older age groups, pupils also study Spanish Literature, History and Geography. On leaving school, we would hope that all pupils would be bi-lingual and would have achieved a high grade in Spanish A level examinations. In consideration of a multi-cultural ethos, our school has become a partner in the European Project which is sponsored by the European Union. This project seeks to promote understanding and cooperation between members States.
The school strives to provide an atmosphere conducive to healthy, happy and considerate relationships between pupils and between pupils and teachers, to encourage good manners and acceptable behaviour in pupils, to create a welcoming environment for parents and visitors, to help pupils to see others as their equals, regardless of race, religion or ability levels.
